My Natural Hair Chronicles: My Current Hair State

Hey beauties! I've been uber busy lately but just wanted to update you all on my current natural hair state. Lately, I've been doing "twist outs" to achieve the result below. Next I'm really considering straightening my hair or just giving my hair a breather all together and trying something new. What that is I'm not completely sure yet. . .Stay tuned!

Best Dressed: 2012 SAG Awards

Though I missed the Screen Actors Guild Awards this year, I heard Viola Davis took home Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role award for “The Help.” So very proud of her! I had a chance to catch Fashion Police for the SAG awards last night and had to chime in on my personal best dressed. So here goes. . .

Shecky's Girls Night Out DC

It was my great pleasure to accompany my cousin Courtney Connley, correspondent of The Fab Empire ( http://thefabempire.com/ ) at Shecky's Girls Night Out DC. Filled with fun, cocktails, shopping, and vendors galore! We enjoyed a night of beauty, fashion, and loads of networking. Held at DAR Constitution Hall beauties from all over gathered for two nights of pure enjoyment. Maybelline and L’Oreal offered makeovers, while a host of other vendors came with great skin care products, jewelry, clothes, and MORE!

It’s a new year, a fresh start to move forward and evolve into all that you were intended to be! Beauties it’s been too long, please forgive me for my lack of posts. I’ve been so busy preparing for my state board license, and on the job hunt. In the midst of all that I have going on, I found a moment to update you all!
