Men's Skin Care Tips

Guys I know, I know it's not "masculine" to take care of your skin. But let me tell you, your skin needs just as much maintenance as us women. First and foremost I'd like to educate you on how to properly shave. When shaving always shave in the opposite direction of hair growth, which in most cases will be downwards. NEVER shave against the grain, for this will irritate the skin and push hairs back down into the hair follicle. This may cause Pseudofolliculitis; a medical term for persistent irritation caused by shaving.
Always wash your face before you shave. This removes sebum so you can get a closer, smoother shave. Shaving while or after a shower is great, the steam softens and prepares the skin for shaving. Using a scrub will give you an even better shave. Change razor blades frequently to reduce irritation.
When shopping for skin care products, always think "less maintenance" this will keep you focused! Buy only the essentials, no need to get overwhelmed! Stays away from jars, pumps are a lot easier to manipulate and overall use. I hope these tips were helpful to all my fellas out there!
